About Nines
NINES, The Fire House Pub is
located in a former Saginaw City Fire Station dedicated as the No. 9 Hose House
in June of 1927. The name “NINES” pays tribute to a language and
numbering system used by the Department then and still in use today. Many
of the unique architectural qualities of the building were preserved or
restored, including the ceiling hole and brass pole
the fire fighters used. Memorabilia, artifacts, fire fighting equipment and
original Saginaw City Fire Dept. photos depict the men and their machines from
the 1800’s through the late 1950’s. This not only serves as unique and
comfortable atmosphere, but also acknowledges and honors today’s Fire Fighters
of the City of
Menu titles reflect the names of equipment, ranks and tools used by firefighters and is an eclectic combination of Bistro-style sandwiches, salads and entrees paired with specialty meats, breads and cheeses. Colorful sun-dried tomato wraps, awesome quesadillas and unique salad meals are served with the same dynamic presentation as are the steak & shrimp entrees or massive burgers. A well-represented vegetarian and seafood selection is also highlighted and the entire menu is available for carryout.
A fully complemented bar with an expansive selection of liquors & beers is the center point of this facility and the substantial wine list is only outdone by the 50-plus martini menu.
